HGYL is organized and operated exclusively for educational, charitable, and/or religious purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

HGYL’s purpose is to function as the governing body of the sport of girls’ youth lacrosse in the Town of Hopkinton, MA and provide a team structure and administration for players including but not limited to grades K-8.

The organization’s primary activities will include the formation of teams, participation of teams in such leagues, tournaments, associations or other competitive endeavors as determined or approved by the board of directors, development of players and coaches and coordination of events or other activities designed to promote and increase the general awareness of, and interest in, the sport of girls lacrosse in the Hopkinton Community.

Furthermore, the organization will coordinate volunteers, fundraising and membership functions to support its operations.
